About Blythe

Recently working at Stanford University for several years, Blythe Nobleman has a long history of working in research development at major universities across the country, specifically for science and engineering. She also, simultaneously, served as an educator of writing about science and technology, environmental studies, and rhetoric & composition for undergraduate and graduate students. Blythe’s role at Stanford as the Senior Manager for Research Development in the School of Engineering included supporting faculty investigators in writing and developing grant proposals, building educational, outreach and mentoring plans centered in pedagogical and social science theory. From concept development to final submission, Blythe assists faculty investigators with crafting precise, compelling and results-driven narratives, putting theory to practice.

As a former Director of Communications and Outreach, Blythe also has experience and practice with academic marketing and communications. She is skilled at website development, publications, content strategy and production. Completing several advanced courses in AI at Stanford, Blythe is also adept with using LLMs and AI in a variety of applications.

Throughout her career, Blythe has been a strong ally for diversity and inclusion for underrepresented minority (URM) groups and women in STEM disciplines, leading Engineering Research Administration’s DEI Working Group for five years, and was part of Stanford’s IDEAL Learning Journey pilot program. Blythe was named to the Stanford University 2023, 2024 and 2025 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in a Learning Environment (IDEAL) Honor Roll. She also served as Co-Chair of Communications for the 2024 IDEAL Diversity Community of Practice (DCP) Conference at Stanford.
